Celebrated Kenyan music group Ethic made a comeback this weekend with a new jam dubbed ‘Bazenga’. ‘Bazenga’ is an upbeat Gengetone jam where the group proves why they are the best in the game to date.

In this new jam, all the members bring their ‘A’ game, as they deliver well-versed lyrics to the upbeat instrumental which was produced by Magix Enga.

Kenyan dancehall/reggae has for a long time been run by a few artists like Wyre and Redsan who have claimed dominance for decades.

New acts like Michael Bundi emerged and we started seeing more new acts crop out like Kisumu based producer and songwriter; Blakangel bring the heat on both as a music producer and dancehall singer.

Blakangel’s new dancehall EP is out now on BoomPlay together with a new single “Things You Do” that was released two days ago with an astonishing video up on YouTube.

Jeraha – Otile Brown ft Jovial

Renowned musicians Otile Brown and Jovial blessed their fans with a new jam dubbed ‘Jeraha’.

‘Jeraha’ is a heartbreaking song, where Jovial cries out after being betrayed by her loved one. On the other hand, Otile brings a different side of his artistry, delivering a heart-wrenching spoken word as he expresses his pain on the ongoing breakup.

‘Jeraha’ has been received well and already has over 200,000 views on YouTube.


Kisumu city’s boy band has a new song with Sol Generation signed singer and songwriter, Bensoul and it is banging hard on their YouTube channel. The song was produced by Brian Robin.

Awicko’ the Kenyan King of AfroBenga has released a new jam dubbed ‘Happy Birthday’. ‘Happy Birthday’ is a groovy jam sang in Dholuo and Swahili. It features Awicko alternating the two languages while singing happy birthday to a gorgeous girl.

The jam which was produced by Denzel has been received well and already has over 10,000 views in a short period of time.
