Gabiro Mtu Necessary announces new album — disputes claims to quit music

Having started his music career in Kisumu as a rapper, Gabiro has always gone against all odds to ensure he is the best export and most sought after artist from the lakeside region.

Gabiro is not just the first ever Kisumu based artist to hit over 300,000 streams with an album on BoomPlay but he is also the first ever musician from that region to be verified on both Facebook and Instagram – no cap!

He boasts a wide social media presence and following something that has made him very popular both online and on the streets. He also has received recognition from fellow creatives both in and out of his hometown with the recent being Octopizzo who endorsed his extended play (EP) in 2020 then also comedians Eric Omondi and Jalang’o who gave a different turn to his latest release “Kula Nao” featuring Blakangel.

A few days ago, Mtu Necessary took to social media to announce that he had called it quits with music. He stated that he was quitting to go ahead and concentrate on other projects but that is not the case anymore.

Kisumu president as he has always tagged himself has once again made a new statement and this time he is back to business with a new album on the channel. He took to his Twitter to share the news that he is coming back with a new album and not just that but a second album is also in the production line by his current producer Blakangel.

His last body of works; MPITO EP is currently topping BoomPlay charts on the top 100 most streamed albums worldwide with over 320,000 streams on that platform. The album got more than 500,000 cumulative streams on all digital platforms on the first week of release making Gabiro and Asen B the most streamed artists at that time.

The upcoming album name, track list and release date are yet to be announced by Gabiro.
