Fast Rising Kenyan Rapper LB Releases The Visuals To ‘No Favours’

Kenya’s hip hop industry has now gone a little notch higher, and it is currently a very exciting time for local hip hop with the emergence of impressive rappers. This year has seen the birth of new rappers keeping the hip-hop scene alive. One of the rappers includes LB (EL PRESIDENTE) an uprising Kenyan rapper who just dropped the visuals to ‘No Favours’ a single off his 2020 mixtape dubbed BREAKFAST IN TOKYO 2.

No Favours serves as the intro to his mixtape, and it is an introspective track that captures the audience with heartfelt lyrics over a smooth jazz sample. Reminiscent of Drake in the Take Care era, the song sets out to create a deeper connection between the artist and the listener, especially in the 2nd verse where he details his troubled upbringing and how he managed to overcome these traumas.

The track was mixed and mastered by B.Y aka Brizzy and the video was directed, shot, and edited by well-renowned videographer Robert Wesley in Kibiko, Ngong Area, and clothing was supplied by the up-and-coming designers Suave Brand.

LB(EL PRESIDENTE) is an upcoming hip-hop artist from Nairobi. Having lived in South Africa LB began his musical journey in 2015 in a small coastal city called Port Elizabeth with his musical style being inspired by 50 Cent, The Game Wiz Khalifa, ASAP Rocky, E-Sir, Nameless among others. Having moved back to Nairobi in 2021, LB has been making steady moves with several of his singles finding their way to radio stations and airplay.
